George Torello, Jr., P.E., the founder of the company, has over 40 years of experience in the design,
review, and inspection of buildings. A recognized leader and educator, George has been involved in
the investigation of some of the largest building failures in this country. Frequently called upon to
provide expert testimony, his extensive background in the analysis of why buildings have failed is of
critical importance in the design of new structures and the evaluation and restoration of existing
facilities facilities.
Howard Epstein, Ph. D., P.E., is a recognized authority in the field of structural engineering with
more than fifty published technical papers in the field. Mr. Epstein is a tenured professor at the
University of Connecticut, and his contribution to this firm can be summarized as "Education is the
foundation of all great engineering endeavors".
J.M. Albaine, M.S., P.E., has joined our firm in the past year. Mr. Albaine has more than twenty years
of experience in structural design of diverse structures ranging from Nuclear Power Plant to wood
design of custom residences. Mr. Albaine's design philosophy is summarized in his own words:
